I have been cutting my own hair since the pandemic. I have wavy hair so I could hide most mistakes I made. My daughter is getting married soon and my hair was pretty chopped up so I made an appointment with Genesis. I was very nervous because I didn’t want to have a short hair style.

First, the minute you walk you are made to feel welcome. I was early for my appointment and I was offered water or coffee at least 4 times. I’m sorry I don’t remember the name of the young woman that washed my hair but she was super sweet. I explained what I wanted to Anita who actually cut my hair and she did exactly what I wanted. I can’t tell you how happy I am with my beautiful cut. If you’re looking for a great cut and super friendly people, you have to go to Genesis.

This was my second visit to Genesis. When I walked in the door, it was like visiting family. Everyone is warm and welcoming, which put me at ease. I have been trimming my own hair, so it was pretty chopped up.

Anita took time to go over exactly what I wanted. She gave me the absolutely best cut I have had since my sister cut my hair (my sister went home 2018). I thought my curly hair was going straight because my hair is really gray. Not so, I have my beautiful curls back. I am so very happy with my cut and appreciate how cordially I was treated. I called on Tuesday and made an appointment on Friday at 2pm left work early for this appointment only to be left sitting in a chair for 40 Minutes with no word from anyone. I went to the desk to see what was going on and if maybe I had the appointment time wrong but I was completely ignored. I ended up just walking out.

I found Genesis Hair Salon by chance when I desperately needed a long layers cut. My hair was dry/brittle with no shape. They cleaned, cut, and styled it so quickly at a great price. Great conversation and vibes at this place, I definitely found my new SoCal salon!
