I don’t usually write negative reviews, but I’m beyond devastated with how my hair turned out after I washed it. I had booked an appointment for a hair cut, and to retouch my balayage. I had sent pictures of myself and some ideas of what could be done. Upon my arrival, the hair stylist (Sharon), whom I was trying on for the first time, showed me the picture I had sent her. The photos were just a reference for the hair cut, and MAYBE a change in the color. However, while sitting on the salon chair, I was clear when I said, you can go darker or maintain the color I have now. There was no clarification, no further discussion to meet with what I was looking for. After doing the highlights, she applied a toner on my hair twice, because after the first try, my hair looked orange.
My hair color now looks red, and the “hair cut” is a disaster. I had asked to remove the dead ends, and to add some layers maintaining the length. It appeared fine when I left the hair salon, it was getting late and I just wanted to go home. I work at night and had woken up earlier for that appointment. I paid for the service as I was charged, and left a 15% tip.
However, now my hair It looks horrible and so much shorter. The “layers” are uneven, and my hair lost its volume because of how much hair she cut off. I’ve been trying to let my hair grow for years. I look in the mirror now, and I want to cry.

I have been going to Shannon for color and cuts for several months now.. I have always colored and cut my own hair for most my life. But decided at 73, to get a professional coloring. Shannon has been so patient with me, trying to get the right tone for my platinum color. She does exactly what I want, and has helped me to achieve what I want. . She is very professional and kind. Always pleasant and wanting to please me.

Went in for a haircut with Nicole, she was excellent! She was bubbly and friendly, but let me quietly relax during the cut, as is my preference. She was gentle with my hair, never pulling or letting the hairdryer get to close to my skin, and meticulous with the cut. I love how it looks! I will definitely be coming back! Price was very reasonable as well.

I have a very strict work schedule and very little time for self-care. I can only ever find time for salons on the weekend unless I take vacation time off from work. This is what I had to do for the appointment I booked with this salon bc there was no weekend availability within the next 2 months and would have had to drive an hour or more if I wanted to find a salon that offered the same services and had any openings. I've been trying to find time to get this haircut and treatment for the last 6 months. I was contacted the morning of my appointment only to have the stylist cancel my appointment with the promise of contacting me to reschedule. I have yet to receive any call from anyone and I have no specific stylist I was requesting since I'm not a regular. If I book myself a new appointment I'll have to wait until May (it is March right now) for a weekend appointment (at best) or put in for more vacation time off to get a weekday appointment. While I understand things happen and staff have their own lives, I at least expected the courtesy of a same-day phone call from the salon to try to reschedule with a new stylist or the same stylist since the cancelation was not my choice. Very frustrating when all I wanted was 1 day to do some self-care so I could feel a little human.

Absolutely love America. We got so lucky that we happened to call on her very first day there, so she had a spot open when I called. My son wanted to change hair styles after years of the same thing. America took the time to listen and got it exactly how he wanted. Now that he’s had some time to grow into the cut he’s been wanting little tweaks here and there and America has gone above and beyond to make each cut work to exactly what he’s thinking and will work for his hair type. She stops frequently to check in with him, trouble shoots what will work for his hair best, and there’s no pressure to do anything unless he wants it. I make sure to book us right away so that we don’t miss out on the next cut. So glad to have her as his stylist.

I love this salon! I had such a hard time finding the right studio. I would always jump around looking for the right stylist and fit...I have been a solid customer for years now! Catriena is the absolute best, but you can't go wrong with any of the stylists.
