This is gonna be long, but if you’re thinking about doing a walk in PLEASE read this. So l decided to try and find a cheaper barber than my usual since money is tight right now. I carefully looked over the reviews of this place and liked what I saw, but saw a few negative reviews about their cut from an older gentleman. When I came in, he was the only one doing walk ins- I should’ve walked out the door that instant. I showed this man a picture of a mid fade that tapers to v in the back, the same cut I’ve been getting for months. I noticed his hands shaking VERY badly and should’ve stopped it then. I don’t mean this diss this man, he was kind, but definitely seems like he might be a bit too old for this profession. I’m a tattoo artist, the day my hands start shaking is the day I won’t touch another client. He might’ve been a great barber back in the day, but obviously he’s having issues in his old age. I told him this wasn’t what I wanted, he tried to say that he gave me a mid fade like I asked, but it was clearly a high fade, and the v was crooked in the back. He didint charge me, but I’m now probably going to have to spend far more getting it fixed. I’ll be wearing hats to my plans all week bc this cut just looks plain goofy. This isint to bash on everyone there as a whole, I will say the dudes in the chairs next to me left with a clean cut. All I gotta say is, book an appointment with one of the younger dudes, don’t be like me and chance it with the older guy. I’m attaching photos of what I asked for vs what I got

I stopped by here to get a cut since my usual barber is out of town, and I’m very disappointed with what I’ve gotten. I walked in and no one looked like they wanted to assist me. The guy that greeted me passed me off to an older gentleman in the back - I told him I wanted a fade, but it looks like he just shaved my hair down and charged me 30$ for it. I personally will just take the L next time my barber is out of town and wait, because I’d rather have a good cut worth the price than be disappointed and feel like I’ve wasted my money.

I would highly recommend checking this place out. I was in a pinch trying to find somewhere to get my son a haircut. I gave them a call and they said they would get him worked in. We didn't have to wait very long to get in a chair, but I could have sat there all day long watching their artwork. They do amazing work and I really enjoyed the show and experience. The great thing was that my son was actually happy with his haircut for the first time in a long time. The only issue we have had is keeping girls away!

Great work ! KID APPROVED! Friendly environment I’ve been bringing my 6yr old son here since he was 4 and the patience of Adam is above standard! The consistency, and professionalism of this environment is worth the visit .

Adam hands down is the best barber my son has ever had. He is very professional, friendly, patient, and works great with kids.Haircuts are affordable,very well done ,and shows no lack of attention. The shop has plenty of sitting room and is very clean.My son has received excellent hair cuts with every visit we have made. He is absolutely the best !!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Ace of Fades is a great barbershop. Adam has been cutting my son’s hair for years. It’s a very nice and clean shop and the barbers there are very professional. We’ve always had a wonderful experience! Highly recommended!

Very pleased with my cut and beard trim. Adam made sure it was perfect. We started chatting after my cut and he kept looking at my beard and kept making adjustments to get it just perfect. His attention to detail is second to none and I recommend him highly. The atmosphere is very calming and cleanliness is superb.Ace of Fade is the best shop in Central Alabama.

Man just got my hair cut from Adam. First barber I've been too since moving to Alabama,and man let me tell you he did not disappoint. He really listens to how you would like your hair/facial hair to be cut and does his best to meet your expectations. Thanks Adam see ya in a few weeks
