I just visited this shop for the first time as an alternative to my usual barber, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The atmosphere is relaxed, with movies playing on the TVs to keep you entertained while you wait. Adolfo was the barber who gave me a cut, and his attention to detail is second to none. The haircut I received exceeded all my expectations—it was better than I could have hoped for. I walked out feeling like a new person and have already decided I’ll be coming back. If you’re looking for a barber who goes above and beyond, Adolfo is the one. Highly recommend.

Friendly service but the guy messed up my haircut. I told him exactly what I wanted and he still cut it very uneven. I had been letting my hair grow for 3 months because my previous barber had cut a side too high. The barber at Alumni followed the pattern that the old barber has messed up. I told him EXACTLY what not to do and he did exactly what I asked him not do do. He was friendly, though.

Picture 1 is how I came out….picture 2 is what I asked for.
Came in around 10am today, the shop gets a star for being clean. My barber however gets 0 stars. I received my haircut from Johnny S. He offered me water and asked how I wanted my cut, I showed him the reference picture and asked that he go a bit shorter, maybe a taper. He suggested a 2 and I said 1 or lower please. He then proceeds to take a phone call with a family member on his cell phone for more than half the haircut. When he was done he turns me around and asks if he can change or fix anything; I asked to go shorter and he says “well that’s a whole other haircut I’ll have to charge you another cut”…..ok…. I’m not paying double for what I originally asked for. I don’t like horrible but it’s not what I asked for. I get it sometimes you get a cut that you don’t like but the next part is what set me over. Another gentlemen walked in after me and sat down on Johnny’s chair. They’ve never met as the gentlemen gets asked where he is from. Then he is offered a beer and they get to chatting. Every 3-5 minutes Johnny stops cutting to make sure this customer is comfortable and is getting the cut he would like.

No idea why the two services were so radically different but unfortunately I’m rating this place so low from this bad experience.

I have been to this place 3-4 times and my experience has not been great. The place is clean so giving starts for that but no stars for regarding getting your hair cut here. None of the barbers I have tried has any attention to details, my hairs were cut uneven and were left long on one side and short on another side... I would suggest going to some other place where baber actually spends some time in cutting hair properly.

I’ve been taking my fiancé here for a year now and when I say this is the best barber, this is the best! You’re getting not only amazing quality with Angel but he pays so much attention to detail! And he’s quick, he get my haircut and beard trimmed and was never disappointed. He tried another barber when Angel was out of town and boy did we learn never do that again. I highly recommend booking Angel if you want your man to look fine to the 10’s.
