I don’t know where to start. There’s just a lot of fantastic things to say about Barber Bar 280/Fade parlor. The customer service is immaculate to in person and online. I am always greeted with a smile from the staff members. They also have on the house beverage options such as cold bottled water to alcoholic drinks
(if you are feeling a little frisky?).

But most importantly my hairstylist Mirna is the main reason why I am a regular (I have gone through multiple hair stylists in bham). She listens to my requests and executes them even exceeding my expectations. Her gelling skills are chefs kiss. The saying “your hair defines you” could never be more true. The client has a vision and the stylist executes it. The main problem that I had with my previous stylists is that they get too comfortable and tend to slack off with there services knowing that I will be consistent. Mirna always welcomes challenges, communication skills are heartwarming. Shes always a blast to talk with.

Mirna is the above the standard.

Such a Blessing to find this establish a wonderful Barbershop who took me in as a walk-in for a Brown to Blonde color!!! Yes. God Bless this wonderful place. Such kind and loving people. Clean and modern.

They won my husbands trust and he’s always very picky with his hair. This is the only place he’ll go. They do a phenomenal job and take their time to get it right.
I’ve even gotten my own hair cut there as well and am equally happy.

This is the spot to get your hair cut. They treat you like royalty and they tailor your cut to your unique style. I would recommend this spot for anyone with hair.

Mirna always does a great job on my cut! 3 months ago I found the Barber Bar after looking for a place to fix a botched cut from somewhere else. Been coming ever since. I love the atmosphere and they have always been on time with the appointment.

It’s only right that I share with the community about my experience at The Barber Bar. I was really hoping to gain a new stylist out of my visit on 3/1/24.

Let me start off with 1) it isn’t the easiest to contact 2) they don’t promote women’s haircuts/prices online or in person.

After work I walked in blind asking if they cut women’s hair and if they take walk ins. They told me yes & that they had someone available to cut my hair. My lucky day you would think, right? Nice lady came to greet me and get started. Turns out she’s one of the owners. Awesome! Off to a good start when she took me to the bowl to wash my hair. Went back to the chair to start the cut. I requested 2 inches off the ends plus layers. She asked if I wanted to keep my length, I answered yes. (Took 2 years to get my length back) Needless to say, I was a little taken back by how she started the cut but I always believe in the saying “trust the process” so I didn’t say anything. She even made the comment of “don’t panic, it’ll come together.” After the cut she blow dried/styled my hair without asking. Hair cut looked fine in the moment especially with how she styled it & I also wanted to give it time since it was a change. When we got up to the front to pay I was VERY taken back by a $94 charge. Paid it with no problem + a 15% tip because I received the service… well fast forward 2-3 days later when l’m playing with my hair and styling it different ways, I’m starting to realize she really CHOPPED my hair. Straight, wavy, curly, etc it isn’t hiding the terrible cut. I have coworkers, friends, family who all agree with me. I’ve reached out via instagram since my husband and I couldn’t get ahold of anyone over the phone. (See communication attached & pics for reference of the bad haircut) I will give them that they have responded via instagram (slowly, but they have responded) and have offered for me to come back to fix it. Anyone in my position would be hesitant of going back. I have politely asked for a refund and I only received $90.

A disappointing booking service detracts from the the quality haircut offered. My appointment was changed from my preferred Barber and I was only made aware of this when I had arrived for my appointment. Whilst it appears when entering the app and scrolling through this isn’t helpful and customers should be called and advised.
