So Shawna was running a special on Facebook half off Lashes for some reason I don’t know . I got sick and unfortunately, had to miss my first appointment, which she was totally kind and understanding about and didn’t charge me a cancellation fee. Fast-forward to the day of my appointment, I get a message saying come no make up on. That’s no problem. I took a shower. I washed my face in the shower and I used a Neutrogena make remover , I did my very best when I got to the salon. Shawna was super nice. She got me seated right away. I came in for a classic set and she had recommended to get a hybrid that it would accentuate my eyes better and I went with her professional opinion and that’s exactly what I got now I realized that I was overloaded with bundles of lashes. All of my eyelashes fell off in two days by the end of my first day at the corners on the inside and the outside had Completely fallen out. I contacted the provider less than 48 hours after the service was performed and I said that I would just like to get my money back. I gave her $100. She ran a special it was supposed to be $58 for the classic Lash !, but of course I was upgraded, and so that increased the price of my service, which I was totally fine with. I tipped well above 30% and I was on my way when reaching out to her I was met with extreme unprofessionalism. I’m a licensed cosmetologist myself so I know exactly how things work in and out of this business not to toot my own horn but just to protect myself. Through our whole conversation, she basically diss me and tells me how dirty and nasty my eyelashes were and how much work she had to do to get them clean. I was in the salon for a total of 45 minutes on a chair in the middle of the Salon, no privacy my face was never washed and as a professional it is your job to prep your services. Clients come to me all the time and I have to re-prep them. That’s just part of the job. My hair was still wet from a shower. I literally couldn’t have been that much mascara. And in the event that she knows mascara causes eyelashes to fall out she should’ve said hey hon, let’s reschedule you. I see a lot of residue here and that could affect the way these lashes stay on but instead.She pulled it out of my eyelashes versus getting like a wipe. I am missing most of my natural eyelashes if they’re not broken in half they’re missing she refuse to give me my money back or be accountable. She gave me $35 out of $100 and said that she basically is out money from all the chemicals and products that she had to use girl lashes are very inexpensive to buy in bulk so that’s just really not the case. I tried giving her the benefit of the doubt and I was treated pretty unfairly. I’ve attached a few things from our conversations just to show that this is how it went and this is what I got and this is what I’m left with the photo below without eyelashes is how my eyelashes are after they had fallen out as you can see they are very weak, thin and broken I am so sad. I am getting married and I told her I was getting married and she wanted to put another set on which I was worried about damaging my Natural lashes that I had left unfortunately. Come on Chapel

I was visiting for the weekend and ended up having an unexpected allergic reaction to the full set of hybrid extensions that I had gotten on Friday by my local (outside Simi Valley) lash artist. Shawnna is an absolute angel of a human and was able to squeeze me in last minute on a Sunday due to my special circumstance. She explained everything to me before the removal process and was so sweet and gentle throughout. You can tell that she really cares about people and is very good to her clients. I was very impressed by her knowledge, years of experience, efficiency, and professionalism. I also appreciated the quick response time and fair pricing. I highly recommend Shawnna and the Beauty and Lash Bar! Thank you so much!
