Needed a trim on vacation & saw the vintage barber chairs through the window while walking around Carmel. Made an appt on the website & went in with no expectations. To my delight, Rachel has a fantastic shop with a clean vintage feel with the right amount of funk & a comfortable vibe. But she also has true barbering skills!! I gave her a description of what my barber back home does for me & she went to work, all the while making me feel like a regular in her chair. The result was exactly what I wanted in no time at all!! A hearty recommendation to anyone who wants a great haircut in a true barbershop. Thanks Rachel and I'll be back on my next trip thru Carmel!!

Rachel is an excellent barber that runs a top notch establishment here in Carmel-By-The-Sea. I know that I will receive quality service in a clean, welcoming environment. If you’re wanting a great haircut at a fair price, be sure to book her in advance as her time slots fill up rapidly. Keep in mind there’s a reason that her availability can be limited; she’s phenomenal at what she does!

I found this barbershop while visiting Carmel by the Sea during the holidays and it was the single greatest grooming experience of my life. Rachel was super attentive to my requests and detail oriented. I had my head shaved and beard trimmed. Now I am trying to figure out how to squeeze more visits to Bixby Barber Co. into my schedule. I was also able to buy products for self-care while I was there. I highly recommend visiting this barbershop anytime you are visiting Carmel by the Sea!

Wow! I let Emy take control of my son's thick red hair and give it some style that was way outside his normal comfort zone. Not only did we love it, he was ecstatic as well. All smiles and now he doesn't want to go anywhere else. Well done on a challenging head of hair!

Terminally loyal. That best describes my relationship with hair professionals over the years. That said, when it's time for a change the decision is a serious one - especially when the number of hairs left on the head is in seemingly rapid decline.

And, just so we are on the same page, the last time I was in a "barber" chair was at age five, having spent years going to 'stylists'.

From the appointment process (they take those), to the vibe of the shop (mid-century mellow), to the actual cut (excellent), I do believe I've found my new hair pro.

If you're a 50 something guy, ready for a change of follicle scene, make your way over to Rachael's capable chair. My guess is you, like me, will not be disappointed.
