My new favorite place! I'm pretty damn tough when it comes to massage places. It was a little puzzling at first to find Body Zen, because it's located in all the way back Last building from office complex. but once you go into post office drive way it's easy enough.

- Cleanliness: super clean.

- Products: they only use Organic products. So it's easy to clean and 100% hypoallergenic.

- The staff are seasoned, not those bimbos who call massages poking with one finger...

- The owner is very pleasant and she obviously cares a lot about her business. she takes the time to talk to customers and the staff all seem happy to work there.

- Price: Pricing is very reasonable in East Bay. Most "fancier" places charge double the amount.

All in all, Zen is a no frills place that is clean and comfortable and does a great massage

The worst experience I have ever had from a message business. 1st off as soon as I walk in the door the lady demands that I pay her before I received a massage which I had never experienced before normally you pay afterwards but I said okay? Then when I got in my room normally you would take your clothes off and get under a sheet of course they usually will explain that to you then leave the room the same girl who demanded that I pay before the massage also ended up being the person who gave me the massage her name was Annie. I had to wait for her to come back to find out if she wanted me to get undressed and if so did she have a blanket she said yes please get undressed no there is no blanket just lay on top which I felt was very unprofessional. Then I received my massage which actually ended up being okay but there was not enough time to work all the areas I wanted to be worked so that was disappointing. When I left she stopped me at the front desk gave me the original receipt and insisted that I give her a tip. I felt a little uncomfortable with the process and how she handled business but I gave her a tip unfortunately it was not a large enough tip because she decided to let me know that her customers normally tip her $30 and that I need to give her more money for a tip I explained to her unfortunately I didn't bring more money with me and second of all this is extremely unprofessional to demand more money for a tip that's something that's my decision not yours she told me if I will not tip her more I am not welcome to come back of course I told her no problem I have no desire to come back here and no way in hell well I give you more of a tip. I have been to many massage places throughout the years I'm very active with sports and I'm constantly needing tissue work. This was by far the most unprofessional and worst experience I have ever had their location is almost impossible to find and in my opinion I would rate this business far below 1 star. Places like this give massage businesses a horrible reputation. You definitely get what you pay for you're better off going to a more reputable higher priced place. This is the first review I have ever given positive or negative that's how disgusted I am by this bush League so called place of business.

My friend and I wanted a massage before we leave the Bay Area. We were suspicious of the one five star review, but do believe me when I say that this place deserves each and every star.

We didn't make an appointment, and yet they were so accommodating. The receptionist started calling right away to see who would be available to come in last minute.

And my 60 min swedish massage at $60.00 was divine! I felt so relaxed afterwards.. But with the welcoming atmosphere, it's not difficult to feel relaxed.

And I have to agree with my friend. They did not push to their other treatment on me unlike the other overpriced places I've been to. They use organic Oil and if you like it, they will let you know what it is.

Mind you, this is not a luxurious resort spa you see in hotels. This is a local business with adequate facilities with professional people that love what they do: help you find some peace.
