HORRIBLE TREATMENT from the start. Used this facility whilst passing thru Cayucos. Had my dogs nails trimmed. The service was VERY HARSH. My dog was handled roughly and WITHOUT COMPASSION. The attendant/owner picked my dog up by the hair on her back and told her to be quiet when she cried out yelping. I nearly stopped her from finishing but my partner stopped me from doing so. I’ve never seen such TERRIBLE TREATMENT at a groomers. Just BEWARE OF GOING TO THIS PLACE. I gave it 1 star because I can’t warn others without giving a star.

Primarily wanted to write this review for others- as I can’t recommend this place.
We wanted to visit Hearst castle on our coastal roadtrip and Unleashed came via google as an option.
When I dropped our dog off, the owner put her in a kennel and told me she’d go to a bigger run.
About 5 hours later, when I picked her up, the owner was surprised I was back already though I arrived on time. I noticed she was in the same small kennel and with an empty water bowl. She took her out and vacuumed her right away. Just strange.

I paid and left - when our dog got in the truck it was clear she had been sprayed down with some chemical air freshener or perfume. It was noxious. We had to wash her to get it off.

Lesa and her groomers are absolutely amazing!!! Lesa took in my mom’s dog that has been rejected by other groomers due to her biting. Lesa took her no questions asked and was absolutely amazing with her!!! I took my boy in as well and both of them smelled so good and were silky smooth to the touch. I would recommend Cayucos Unleashed dog and cat groomers to anyone! I will definitely be going there next time!!!

We’ve been taking our special needs doodle here for grooming and Lisa has been doing a great job, thoughtful and kind and intuitive. She takes it nice and easy with Jade but still manages to get her in and out rather quickly, recommended we don’t use the dryers on her but let her air dry instead. Last week I showed up on the wrong appointment day and Lisa fit us in right away, very gracious. We are fans!

Took my puppy for her 1st nail trim and was treated respectful was even given Christmas treats for her and they went out of their way and trimmed the hair around her eyes to keep from irritation. Puppy breed new to me she even answered question I had about grooming.

I love Lisa! She and her daughter do an excellent job. They work magic on Delilahs' coat. So every month I try to treat Delilah to a spa day at Unleashed. Very professional and safe. It's obvious that they are dog lovers and very skilled about what is best for your pup.

1 month ago I started bringing my 4 1/2 month old bernadoodle here for a puppy grooming boot camp. They worked patiently with her until she was comfortable being groomed and now she loves it. The staff are so kind and very gentle with her. This is my big girl’s forever groomer.
