I’m very happy that I came here! The PT is very good and they are all happy characters doing Gods work!
The nursing staff are awesome, Rose Bannister is just like me when I was younger! Loved my patients as she does hers, and willing to do anything to make their lives better!
Each and every one of them deserve a raise and acknowledgement of their hard work and dedication to their patients!!!
Even the food is surprisingly delicious here!
One bone of contention is the transportation (Century wheelchair and stretcher) took me to Tampa for a 9:00 appointment. We arrived at 8:10, but were in and out by 9:00.
We were told that the BBC driver would be back by 10:30. She didn’t show up until 12:12!!! I was in agony being post opt 10 days on my neck! To make matters worse, she had worn out shocks on her rickety old van, that made me scream every time she hit a bump in the Suncoast Parkway.
When I asked her why she was so late picking us up, she mumbled that she had to pick up some one in Inverness and bring them to Homosassa ….WTF was she prioritizing? It obviously wasn’t our ride!!!! NEVER AGAIN WILL I GET A RIDE FROM CENTURY!!!
I AM still in pain from that ride from hell!!!

My mom was a hospice patient and passed away yesterday. I drove down from Ohio to be with her in her final days. I spent 4 very long days and nights at the nursing home and I would like to shout out to several staff members that went out of their way to comfort us and take care of mom and our family. Heather 1st shift nurse in the back, Kelly 2nd shift nurse in the back. Tasha and Rose nurse aides for mom and there was a young lady on 3rd shift who was also an aide. You guys are amazing and need to be recognized for your care and compassion. There were times that we laughed and times we cried together and times that y’all were right there for me as my world collapsed around me. I cannot thank you enough for sharing your stories of your time with mom and just being there by our side for comfort and most of all the best care for mom. Thank you ❤️

I remember getting my CNA here. What an experience. I already worked in the field for a while but just wanted my CNA . I signed up for the program.
The thing I am most greatful for is them throwing me into the Alzheimer's and dementia unit. I now been a CNA for quite some years and I always say that damn Crystal River and health and rehabilitation Because of them I have a better understanding. I am very greatful for you guys in that aspect. It helped me problem solved , it help me help them and learn little things to desculate some issue when they occured. My job is easier and I don't know everything as a CNA but I love to learn and teach others to help them .
Thanks
Okay bye !

I work for a medical transport company. We recently helped transport/evacuate patients from Crystal River Health and Rehab to Ocala in an effort to prepare for the hurricane. Upon my first arrival I recognized how organized the staff was despite the chaotic event. My second observation was how genuinely kind the staff was with their patients and our team. Their staff made valiant efforts to ease the minds of the patients. Lenny, the administrator of the facility, was calm and collected as he orchestrated the evacuation with a smile. On our ride into Ocala with the patients I had opportunity to speak with them. Most had been at the facility for a few years. The general consensus of the patients
was how nice and attentive the nurses and aids are. Patient care is an obvious priority in this rehab, which is refreshing to see.

Unprofessional. Drove an hour round-trip for a scheduled interview and after being told to fill out an application the receptionist says the person wasn’t available to interview me. No call to cancel or anything. Next morning I receive a message saying they moved on with another candidate, without even interviewing me. Yet they are still hiring. Makes you wonder. I have 20 years of experience & have been a CNA in another state. I’m an asset anywhere I go so their loss.

If you apply to work here, you cannot have ANY prior care taking experience. Upon my arrival, I was told I was not eligible for the role I applied for. Id like to note, my application stated I previously had worked in a nursing home. If they knew I wasn't eligible, unless they didn't even actually check my application, they should not have wasted my time, by having me still show up. If you "can't hire anyone with prior PCA experience", what the hell are you doing? Based on the lawsuits for wrongful death, and complaints I've read about against this facility, you'd imagine they'd want people with experience, but I guess it is for the better they "can't hire me".

If your looking for a quality facility the has rehabilitation look else ware. A new one has just opened in Lecanto. This might have been a quality facility years ago but is surely not today. The service is horrible. The Rehab Dept. lacks the personnel but they do a good job. The facility is understaffed and overworked. Either they can’t fine the help or they are unwilling to hire and pay for more staff. Getting something done within a reasonable time is not the norm. When you’ve been taking pain pills 3 times a day for ten-15 years waiting for one and a half to two hours, or in one case asking at 8am and getting it at 5:30 for that pain bill is unacceptable. Some don’t seem to care. They don’t have a schedule of when you’re to receive your medicine so you have to ask for it. It’s also a shame when you push the help button for someone to help you get back in bed and an aid comes in and chew’s you out telling you that the help button is for emergencies only. That’s not quality help. The nurses can do just so much and your love ones are the ones that suffer. Nothing gets done over the weekend, an yet your paying top dollar. There are better places, so do your homework and check them out.
