I showed the picture to the stylist and explained the style I was hoping for, but the result was very different. I even showed the picture again after the cut, and it still wasn't close to what I wanted! The stylist did ask how I usually style my hair at home, and I told him I just use blow dry. However, he didn't take into account my natural waves based on his years of experience and expertise which means without using a straightener at home, my hair ends up frizzy and uncontrollable.

Updates: Although the hairstyle didn't turn out as I had hoped, the salon showed GREAT sincerity by caring about customer feedback and reaching out to offer a solution!

I’ve been getting my hair cut here for several years, but the quality has been dropping significantly, and I’m beyond disappointed now.

Last time, I waited 20 minutes past my appointment time. This time, despite showing the stylist a photo of my previous haircut from the same salon and stylist, they completely ignored it and gave me a totally different (and weird) style. This is the worst haircut I’ve ever had! I drove 40 minutes, paid $75, and left feeling terrible.

I understand that the living cost in the Bay area is increasing, so they increased the prices for haircuts, but they failed to even keep the quality.

0 stars for the current service, but 2 stars for the good experiences I had in the past. I feel sad now, not just for my terrible hairstyle, but also for a place I once liked becoming so unreliable.

It's the best salon I have been to. Especially the stylist is amazing and professional. I would recommend that you make an appointment in advance for few weeks. To me surprise, they not only have Japanese stylists but also taiwaness stylist who can speak Chinese. During the covid -19, they keep their profession and passion to customers. It is a great place for me to enjoy my time.

Before I start, I wanted to mention that my hair is a freaking monster. I've had stylists say that my hair simply "doesn't listen." And that's honestly true! I'm half Japanese. I would say that my hair is something between straight and curly. Most of the time, it does whatever it wants on any given day and I've given up on trying to make it look a certain way.

That said, I went here and, wow, my hair is actually listening this time! Rio did an amazing job with my hair. I only got the haircut this time, but they provide a little mini massage when washing your hair before the cut. It felt so nice, I think I'll go for the head spa treatment next time I need a cut. The prices are so reasonable and the service was totally worth it!

First time there, but the BEST hair cut experience ever. Hair stylist TAKURO is so good with his techniques. I liked my hair cut very much! Definitely visit again! Strongly recommend!

This place is highly recommended by one of my friends. She likes it a lot. She had shoulder length hair. I came here having high hope, with their high price tag. I have thicker and natural wavy hair type, and the whole time the stylist wasn’t that thrilled working in my hair. She does not have experience working with hair outside her comfort zone, that I assume? The salon itself is quite cute though, sadly it didn’t become my go to.

Not as good as before, they assigned a new stylish to me who just joined 10 days ago and the English is pretty poor. I showed a picture to her but she can not follow the style. Will not go there anymore. The staff changed so quickly, last time I ordered a Chinese staff who did a great job above my expectations, but he already left there. So sad.
