I stayed here back in August of 2024 & fully enjoyed their Spa experience (mud bath & massage) with my wife (we celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary). We had a just a perfect time there. I would highly recommend this place. It was top notch all the way. Right from the start, I felt not only comfortable at the SPA but it was extremely professional AND cheerful. A totally relaxing and pleasurable experience.

Location can not be beat. Walking distance to everything. Short drive to wineries. Hot pools were nice. Glad to have an adults only option. Jose was the nicest person and we took many of his suggestions. The rooms were clean but otherwise just okay & loud for the $600/night price tag. The taxes and fees were a lot. If we could stay during the week or otherwise discounted time for a few hundred less I would come back.

We had a wonderful stay here, and the staff was wonderful. The text service to submit housekeeping requests and the aromatherapy in the rooms were particularly wonderful. The location is INCREDIBLE and the pools were clean and wonderful.

HOWEVER, there were kids all over the place, even in the “adults only” zone. Our room was in a very common walkway area and we were up every morning at 6:30 or 7am due to loud kid sounds in common areas and other rooms. The pool sound system also starts at 8am, and we could hear that in our room as well. The beds were so comfy but I would recommend elsewhere if you’re looking to sleep in.

The food was also very mid. We went off campus for most our meals.

What a great time my Mom, daughter and I had at the spa and overnight stay. We had the best massages and facials. Very attentive and professional staff. Spa is very clean and well appointed. All of the various mineral pools were fantastic. Our handicap accessible room was comfortable but a bit noisy from the ice machine and guests above. The bath floors and shower pan could be cleaner. We will definitely return for all of the above.

While we did not stay at the hotel, we were spa guests and did the mudslinger treatment. We were very excited to try the famous Mud Bath and felt it was just okay. The space itself is not great for relaxation given you can hear all the guests around you in the other rooms and the coming and going of the staff and the other spa guests nearby. We felt we paid a lot of money for something that just felt OK. If they somehow broke up the rooms better or had less people in the same space at the same time or asked guests to be quiet it wouldve made the space more enjoyable. Instead you hear other guests talking loudly in the room over (as it’s not fully walls) and it takes away from your own “relaxation” time.

The experience itself was interesting so I’ll give that a 4/5 but the space itself is lacking so 3/5.

Neat 50's era hotel that has been updated. Lots of things to do on the grounds, very laid back. Three pools with various temperatures and poolside service. We did the mud bath and it was memorable. Great location walking distance from anything in Calistoga. You could take complimentary rental bikes to dozens of wineries if you wanted to. Definitely NOT a typical Marriott property, so no free breakfast. I didn't even see the Marriott logo anywhere in the 5 days we spent. Would likely stay again for right price. One of a few similarly-themed mineral bath hotels in the area. Only complaint was that our room in the Victorian house had a window facing the street with regular construction and traffic noise in the am especially. Also, common areas in the building had no noise dampening, so over a busy weekend it would occasionally get loud in hallways you could hear in the room.
