I was looking for a good massage place around my neighborhood, and this spa caught my eye since the reviews seemed positive. I recently had the opportunity to experience a couples massage at this spa. As my only point of comparison is luxury hotel spas, I’d like to share my experience:
• The massage therapist didn’t ask us about our preferences for the massage. I originally wanted Swedish, but I simply let her work on me but requested extra focus on my lower back and shoulders, which she did.
• The massage oil was a bit cold when applied, which felt a bit unusual as I’m used to warm, aromatic oils that enhance the experience.
• My husband requested a deep tissue massage but felt it wasn’t quite as intense as he’d hoped.
• The spa package included a 60-minute massage, aromatherapy, hot stones, and a foot scrub. However, everything was done within the 60 minutes, which felt a bit rushed. Both my husband and I felt this way.
• The therapist’s technique was good, but we left feeling okay, rather than with the memorable, relaxing experience we expected.

While I understand that my expectations may be influenced by my previous experiences with luxury spas, I’m not sure I’d return here. It was an overall decent experience, but given the price, it didn’t feel extraordinary.

Bought a Groupon for a premium massage which is normally $149 for a 60 min with aromatherapy, hot stones and foot scrub. The Groupon was a deal
as I purchased it to for $70.

Forgot to ask the masseuse's name but it was a male. He did a good job focused on my back like I requested. It was very relaxing and areas were very clean. They have some early bird specials and if you purchase a gift card for several you get a better deal. Located on Ventura so only street parking but had no issues.

I loved loved loved my service here! The massage with hot stones was ahhhmazing! Foot scrub was perfect and the aromatherapy made it all perfect! Staff was extremely nice, professional and so considerate. They were very friendly and the price was definitely worth the service! Nick was awesome! I have been suffering with sciatica flare ups and this massage eased the pain for sure! Who knew?! A simple visit to Essence Spa would do the trick! I am definitely going back for individual and couples massages!

I did the 90 minute combination massage and it was amazing! I feel so much better. My muscles were stiff and cramped but the masseuse brought me back to life. The warm bed was amazing and the aromatherapy cleared my senses. 10/10, I will be back to visit this place next time!

Been here couple of times, we went tonight, We got the swedish couples massage and the massage was great. I had to tell my therapist to make it harder but after that she did amazing. My husband therapist was also good. We just had some comments for the manager/owner. Hopefully they put all their stuff that they need for the massage in the room or its easily ready. My husband’s therapist ( we were at the same room ) kept going out, i think to grab something outside. She went thrice and it has disrupted our session and not mentioned it lessens the time we paid for the massage and also i think therapist has different techniques cause even my husband and i got the same service, he had some stones or essential oil for him to smell during the massage and i didn’t get those besides that it was still a good massage and we would still come back. Try it!

I have been here two times for a combo massage with two different masseuse technicians. They were both good . I would say I had good experiences both times. Place is small but they have several rooms and the spa setting and location is relaxing. Meter parkings or you can park in the little streets on the side.

I went there with my boyfriend we got groupon voucher but we had to pay extra 10$ for deep tissue massage i think its worth it cuz my boyfriend got one but i got the combination I thought since my masseuse was a male he would massage stronger but whenever I asked him to just press a little stronger he kept asking me if I want the deep tissue for extra 10$ which was very petty especially when the massage is about to finish he really had hands of a girl dwbmean but srsly I THINK HIS NAME WAS BEN but my boyfriend really enjoyed his massage his masseuse was asking him where to pay attention what he preferred i think his name was NICK he was great
