When we moved to Santa Cruz several friends recommended Dr. Giannotti and I now know why they were so enthusiastic and confident in making their recommendation. For one, getting started is easy – even new patients can schedule their first appointment online. I like that. All of the staff is really friendly and competent, and the spacious office has a good feel to it. My thorough eye exam included use of a lot of very sophisticated equipment, including one machine that takes beautiful pictures that Dr. Giannotti took time to explain to me. I was impressed with how friendly and focused Dr. Giannotti was during our appointment – he didn’t seem at all rushed, and really took time to share a lot of information, and respond thoughtfully to any questions or concerns.

They have a good selection of frames to choose from, and I found the person that assisted with the selection process friendly and helpful.

Best of all they got my prescription just right, and I look pretty cool in my new Maui Jim sunglasses! 🙂

I've been going to Dr. Giannotti for as long as I can remember. He's watched me grow up and kept my eyes in great shape the whole time. His staff is kind and professional, and my experience there is always decently speedy yet completely comprehensive.

They have quite a big optical selection as well, and an in-house optician to help guide you through the process of getting glasses. I've always dreaded the idea of wearing glasses growing up, but they helped me find the perfect pair that I love to wear everyday while I work.

Overall, great experience each time, and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a trusted optometrist.

I am a 73 year old woman who had been suffering with swollen eyes for 2 weeks. I had put a cream on my eyes and had a reaction then used some over the counter eye drops and they made the problem much much worse. The office fit me in as an add on and Dr. Giannotti spent alot of time with me, which was a surprised. It had been over 30 years since I had been to his office and was extremely happy with the care I received and my eyes are much much much better. I would recommend his office any time.

Dr Giannotti is GREAT. I have had something in my eye for 2 days. (windy Sunday with debris in the air.) I went to urgent care and then emergency room...went home with drops and debris still in my eye. Today, Dr. Giannotti got it out. He got me in right way and cleared my eye.
