Steve is awesome! I wanted just a ladies cut. $35 plus tip (I gave him a $10 tip). They accept cards but bring cash to help the salon out. I have thick Asian hair that hadn't been cut in almost a year, so I am pleased with how patient Steve was cutting and layering my hair. It totally helps to know Vietnamese but I don't speak any. I just showed Steve a photo of what I wanted, we spoke about the length I wanted in English and then it was go time. He's fast and good. Would come back again.

I came to see Phuong but she was no longer working there, so with some wariness I decided to let Minh to do my root touch up. Minh is a nice guy but he's not as thorough as Phuong. After the root touch up Minh lobbied to shape my hair in the back. I'm trying to grow my hair out so I told him I didn't want him to take it up too high. He said he wouldn't, but then he did. It wasn't what I wanted. He did what he wanted. I'd asked him how much the trim would be and he said $20, but then he charged me $80 total for the root touch up and the hair trim even though I brought in my own dye. Phuong had charged me $30 for a root touch up in the past when I brought in my own dye. I can see that Minh does a decent job with some men's haircuts and some women's haircuts, but he didn't do what I wanted and he overcharged me. I won't be coming back.
