Can't say enough good things. They get me through a cut and shave pretty dang quick. I'm so glad these fellas are back and better than before. Closed Monday, Wednesday and Sunday but open up at 7am all of the others. Ole timey barbershop feel unlike like the chain stores.

I've missed this place after moving to Warrior, AL. It's a real live barbershop where most all the customers know the barbers and each other.
I may decide it's worth the drive to go back.
...Not to mention the fact that they're great barbers too.

If you value conversation, being treated as a friend vs. a source of money, a business that shows pride in the United States, and has an attitude of kind service - this is the place for you. The Husky Barbershop cut my hair the week I left for Army basic training nearing 20 years ago. Now, as an officer with three combat tours and over a dozen non-combat deployments abroad, and 11 locations I've moved my family to, I was thrilled to walk in the door to a feeling of "home."

I am currently stationed in Israel and after using no less than six barbers looking for someone decent and reliable over the last 2.5 years there, I finally settled on my current one for the last 18 months. French trained. Fancy service. Fancy moves with his scissors. Sells fancy booze, outrageously priced hair products, massages and is always trying to put my haircut on Instagram with his RayBan camera glasses... Sigh. But, he gives the best haircuts I can find.

I walked into Husky not knowing what to expect. Knowing the owner I once knew was gone, I was worried about how it would go. I've had some very bad haircuts in Jordan, Saudi, Iraq, Kuwait, Morocco, Israel, Germany, New York, and about 30 U.S. states. New person usually equals a bad haircut.

Not at Husky.

As a person that values good conversation, an old school barbers chair, and being treated as a friend and peer instead of as a cash cow (high pressure to buy products and additional services), it was a pleasure.

While I only used Husky four or five times in my 23 years of growing up in Trussville, my memory of a free coke and a veteran barber as a child led me to drop in and see how it would go. They just became my favorite barber in at least a decade.

I remember sitting down in the Husky chair as a child around 1990 and the barber asking me what I wanted, and I went on and on about guards, how I wanted a bowl cut, and other nonsense. The barber bent down, looked me in the eyes and asked "well son, do you want a haircut or not?" "I want a haircut." "That's all you needed to say." He then proceeded to give me the haircut I needed and didn't know I wanted until he was done. I wore my hair that way until today.

If you want a barber you can trust to do the same, you'll find that climate is still there today.

Best overall experience I've had in at least a decade.

They do a great job... when they're open. They don't hold to their hours at all, especially on Saturdays. We've shown up 5 separate times and they've either been completely closed or have closed 2 hours early. It's super frustrating because they do such a good job but half our day is wasted and we end up having to go to supercuts down the road.

Great shop, certainly one of the best haircuts and barber shops I have been to. Very at home feel, even though I was traveling here for work. Wish I could bring this place with me back to SC

Not bad haircuts but they lock the doors at 4:30 no matter how many people are left but say close at 5. Jodi was very rude after I drove in to get a cut. Came out at 4:30 to tell me they were closed. I asked what time they close now after saying this was the 2nd day in a row. She told me to drop the attitude and just go find someone else. Very unprofessional and doesn’t seem to care about return business or making money. Took her advice and went down the street to Thom’s barber shop. Thom is great I suggest going to see him. He’s cheaper too. The response is a lie. I know what time I was there and it wasn’t 4:45. Also there was one waiting that Cathy was getting to and one in the Other chair hardly 5. Other reviews speak the same. Only whining barbershop I know that locks the doors before they say they close. And I’m not the first that went to Thom and bet not the last.

Never open when they say they will be. The guy working there reeks of cigarette smoke and is very rude.
