I had my nails done by Luz and requested tortoise nails with a pop of color. She did a great job! The attention to detail was top-tier. I didn't feel like I was in a place where some things were left out to get me out of the seat for the next person. I'll definitely be returning.

I went to Madison for a gel pedi on Friday April 18 first day off in 4 months. What a mistake. I ended up paying $55 for 3 cuts on 1 foot by Luz that’s the name on the card. Never ever again. I should had known the place was completely empty no customers.

This place is more of a hobby than a business. The customer service is lacking, and I suspect the positive reviews are from friends. The salon is often empty and has a limited selection of nail colors to choose from. I recently had my nails done there and they are mediocre at best. The gel set started chipping within 5 days, which is unsatisfactory. The owner gets her nails done by the unfriendly manager, who always looks like she's having a bad day and gives off a vibe of "why are you here." She is not welcoming at all. Despite giving this place a second chance, I have to say, as a Black-owned and woman-owned business, it's just not a good fit for me. It's disappointing, but I won't be returning. It’s not even been 4 days and I look down at my nail and there’s no polish. The manager did spend time on her phone and with her boyfriend in the parking lot. What a joke. They won’t be here next year DONT waste your time. Next is TikTok and any other social media. It’s unfortunate that you don’t know that word of mouth is still the best form of advertising. THIS WAS A GEL MANICURE or at least I was billed for one. I get this service regularly but my nail tech went to Vietnam.

Don’t blame my selection; that’s definitely poor leadership to blame the client. Your manager has a pissy attitude and is not hospitable unkind and spent more time in the parking lot with her boyfriend than anything else. You have a blessed day. You just can’t blame the client for your poor service and unprofessional customer service.

I would first like to advise that I have been very consistent and loyal to this salon since they opened.

I scheduled an appointment for 4pm, but was rescheduled to 2pm because the technician needed to leave by 4pm and wanted to ensure she had enough time. When I arrived at the rescheduled time, I was informed that the technician was running behind because her previous client arrived late. Unfortunately, I was not notified of this delay in advance, and no accommodations were offered to address the inconvenience.

The lack of communication and consideration was disappointing, especially since I was told from the tech herself that I was the only client for the week before this appointment and it was already Friday. I had to follow up myself about rescheduling, but I decided against it due to the poor handling of the situation and the risk of another last-minute cancellation.

Despite this, I will acknowledge that the time spent with Luz was well spent, and she did a good job. I was impressed with my pedicure but didn't love the final result of my french tip application. However, the overall experience left me feeling frustrated and undervalued. I hope that the salon improves its communication and scheduling practices to better serve its clients in the future.

Walked in inquiring about if walk-ins were accepted. They looked confused on why I would ask that question as if it’s not a typical question when entering a new salon. When I asked this, the response I got was ‘what do you need done?’ I stated a refill. Then I was asked, ‘acrylic?’ I stated I had dip powder currently. The other woman cut in with ‘we don’t do dip here’ very abruptly and didn’t seem interested on asking me if I wanted to do something else or if they could accommodate me with acrylic, as I’m not picky. Customer service 0/5.
