Emily was amazing! She highlighted my roots from black to blonde and made it look easy. It took half the time and without going under heat. They use products from Italy, and have higher standards for your health and for your hair. Well priced too! This salon is a gem and sets a great standard!

A year ago, I had my first balayage at a different salon. The colorist used foils for a full head application, and it looked very natural. I showed her a picture of the desired color, and she matched it perfectly, even exceeding my expectations. I wanted to repeat the process but didn't want to drive an hour.

So, I chose a new salon based on its great reviews and the colorist, Ashley, whom I booked. This was my first visit to this salon. I showed Ashley the picture of the color and explained the technique I wanted: a dimensional balayage. She dismissed the term 'dimensional balayage,' saying it was just another name for a regular balayage.

When she returned with the color mix, she asked if my previous stylist used foils. I confirmed that she did. I assumed Ashley would follow the same technique, but she painted the color on without foils. Trusting her expertise, I didn't question it.

During the wash, she mentioned adding a toner to neutralize red tones. This concerned me because I wanted a golden blonde balayage, like my previous one. After blow-drying, my balayage was an ashy-red color, not the desired golden blonde. She didn't even allow me to see the back of my hair.

I was disappointed because the color didn't match the picture, but I hoped it would grow on me. I still tipped her 21%.

At home, I realized the balayage was blotchy and uneven. It looked terrible, and even my husband noticed. I tried to contact the owner for a refund, excluding the tip, as I didn't want to return for a correction. However, I only reached voicemail.

The first two pictures are of my current hair. The last picture shows my first balayage, which I loved.

Edit: Jessica, the salon manager, offered a $60 refund for a $165 service, which I found unfair. Correcting the color will cost $250-$300. I requested a $100 refund, but she refused. Jessica argued that the service was rendered and claimed I received a haircut in addition to the balayage, which is a lie. I declined Ashley's offer of a haircut at the beginning. She offered to 'dust' the ends, which was a very light trim taking less than two minutes – something I could have done myself. Jessica insisted that any scissor use constitutes a haircut. However, the receipt only lists 'balayage,' not 'balayage and cut.' I don't know who is being dishonest, but Ashley never mentioned a haircut in our conversation."

First, I want to say that Mark Douglas - Clermont is a very clean, organized, professional atmosphere filled with friendly talented faces.
Second, and most important, I want to take the time to rave and brag about my go to hair person, ASHLEY LICHTER!!!! She is phenomenal!!!! She puts your hair health and your happiness/confidence above anything else. She will take the time to fully discuss your hairs needs and your end goal for your hair in detail, and during the process she will stop after each stop to ensure to communicate, making sure the process is heading in the right direction. I have turned all my girly pals in her direction and they have each left her hands feeling happy and more confident as well.

I also want to say that, not only is Ashley amazing with adult hair (trimming, cutting, coloring/highlights, styling, etc.), but she is great with children as well. I have had both my niece and my nephew’s hair done by her multiple times and they are always happy and confident as well. My nephew in particular has vocalized that just like me, he only wants Ashley doing his hair from now on. The last year and a half has been nothing but happiness and confidence in terms of our hair!!!! Thank you, Ashley!!!!!

My first time and Sue was amazing! She transformed my hair with nothing but a round brush and a blow dryer! She's amazing! The place is beautiful as well!

Amanda always knows exactly what I want and executes it PERFECTLY! She’s got me from 22 inch red tape in extensions to super short and dark ginger to a natural brown! Whatever you want Amanda will blow it out of the water! I always leave her chair with a new found confidence in my appearance!
