If I could give this place negative stars I would. Booked through RCI and I have NO IDEA how this place got listed as an RCI resort. It's more like a single airbnb. Arrived at 4:15PM. This was well before the noted checkin deadline. Office was locked (doesn't look like it's been open for years). Spent 30 minutes in the hot sun calling the number on the huge sign out front trying to reach someone to check in. Finally in complete frustration we called RCI and a supervisor finally reached someone associated with the unit. The woman who showed up was very nice, but after waiting nearly an hour to check in, no amount of nice was going to undo our frustration.

Place was clean but needed maintenance. Bedroom were fans not working, kitchen faucet was not connected to counter so you had to hold it while water came out. Lights were broken.

Website says pool and laundry "onsite"? The pool is a community pool, that isn't even within walking distance. I have no idea where laundry facilities were, but they were not in unit. 1 small TV in living room. No WIFI. Demanded $150 CASH at check in so we could use the community pool, gym, etc. that we had to drive to reach. This isn't "onsite" in my definition.

Our unit had no designated parking spot, other than a relatively busy street. Nothing like ANY RCI resort we have ever stayed in and we certainly won't do it again.

I give a minus 6 stars for Mission Villas of Silver Lake California (being kind). I do not like being called a moron or that I am stupid because I asked for a refund of the $100.00 cash I gave at check in. The person stated that the $100.00 cash was not a deposit (after we checked out). Then it must be he is a nice guy and I am giving him a night on the town. Very strange that the Wi-Fi was not working and he could not take credit cards only cash? We have some concerns about our stay. (1) On the second night we were being bit by something in the master bed, had to move to guest bedroom. Arriving at home we took multi-steps to make sure the insects weren’t carried to our home. (we do not have any pets or animals at our home) (2) The repairs to the resort were done very cheaply or not at all. (3) Several lights not working and one broken above the bath in the guest bathroom (fire issues and worse). (4) One-ply toilet paper an experience you really do not wish to experience again. (5) The sinks smelled and did not drain well. (6) No Wi-Fi in the resort and 5G service was a hit and mostly miss. (7) You can not get anyone at the phone number and maid server provided no help. (8) Cheap very Cheap. Do not stay there.

I suggest if you really want to visit Helendale, California. Drive there, sleep in your car and park next to the railroad track, would be a whole lot better experience. We left early.

Bewared, this resort more like a motel. When I booked with RCI, it's Indicated I owed resort $50 in fee, but when I got there, the service desk (no desk) asked for $100 in Cash. I was arrived late so i had no choice but paid to stay. the entire resort building are rented out as appartment, except for 4 units is used as resort rooms. resort location is beautyful and peaceful.

This place gets a bad wrap . The rooms are nice and the the manager and cleaning people are super nice and helpful. You have to call the number on the sign out front. They will get whatever you need.

Rooms are nice but some of the lights are not working plus when I got there, there was no one for me to check-in so I called them and left VM. Someone called back and asked me to go and see the cleaners and she gave me her key to get in.
