Jessica works there, each time I have been there, I have been with her to show the dogs. She is kind and knowledgeable. Each experience has been great!!

Awful. Don’t ever bring a dog here. Found two on the street and one had a seizure in the back of my car and the guy took about 2 hours to get there and showed 0 urgency. This place is absolutely awful and it’s disgusting. It’s ran by the sheriffs office and the accountability for this place needs to be addressed. Awful. Also they leave dogs unattended on holidays and close. No one is there to care for the dogs and cats they have when closed they are literally left outside in kennels.

Had the pleasure of meeting Vicki this morning while dealing with some kittens. What a lovely woman, the younger gentleman was incredibly polite and helpful too, but I am so impressed with the staff and how easy they made the process.

I've been to shelters where I feel like I'm in a supermax prison, but not this place.

Their love for animals is obvious, but they do a lot to help out the owners too.

Thanks again Vicki and the team!

(Okeechobee County better treat the staff well here because y'all are lucky to have them!)

Upon first glance it is a great place, a few of the staff really care. But at the end of the day they make their own rules and do not care for the animals in their care, save for a select few ACOs

We drove from Port Saint Lucie. Trying to find a small dog . Well we found our guy in 30 seconds. It was love at 1sf sight . We took him out and we wanted him . But he wasn't neutered yet . So they were to keep him for another week .
So I was like can I just have my vet call or can I call my vet. Make an appointment and take him today?
After thought . They let me ND my wife take him home that day . Such a nice dog . Sat in the car center . Like he's been in the car. Million times .
I'd send anyone I know to this place to adopt. .
