Wow, I am just so impressed with the atmosphere I just received at this location, their vibe is on fire, in a great way. I’ve been taking my son to get his hair cut with Shawn for the last two years before he opened Proper Cuts and he’s always given my now 9 year old son a fresh cut that fits him. Shawn has always been professional and helpful, even going the extra mile giving me advice on how to maintain my sons’ hair between appointments. I also really like the diversity of the barbers in the shop, it’s good to see a woman giving fresh cuts. I’m more than happy to continue to support Shawn as a new business owner.

I was coming from Sacramento and stumbled upon this barbershop in SJ Japantown. I showed the barber pictures of the style I like, and he has executed carefully and nicely. He made sure that I was ok with his suggestions along the way. I had a great haircut. The other staffs were really friendly and the shop has good environment.

I'm on the road and needed a haircut bad, I did a little research and these were the guys and gals I chose, Great place with a very talented crew, I was a walkin and they were kind enough to find time and had me in a seat within 30 minutes. If your in the area give this shop a call or stop in, you will be very happy you did. They work with every type of hair there is ! You don't find that in many shops. Love this barbershop! I lived nearby for 5 months and they gave the best men’s haircuts. All the barbers are very chill but extremely good at their craft and very detail-oriented. You will leave looking very clean, 5 stars.

Checkout Anthony the Barber, 10/10 all around.

I’ve had 4 cuts from Anthony now, and they’ve been incredible. He is very talented and knowledgeable about cutting and styling hair. Not your typical barber who mass produces the same haircut, he’ll work with you to customize the best cut for you.

Also one of the most accommodating barbers, and has extended hours beyond most shops. Never ever had any booking or scheduling issues from Anthony, great guy. Will definitely be a regular moving forward.

First time at Proper cuts and it won’t be the last. All the barbers are extremely friendly and very good at what they do. I also saw one of the ladies cut a little girls hair while I was there and she did a great job.

Proper Cuts has a great group of barbers. I have been coming here regularly now for the last 6 months or so and I can’t say enough good things. I’ve been seeing Eian and his work is top notch. Super detailed and meticulous. The other barbers are all great as well. Great vibes in the shop and everyone leaves looking FRESH. Booking with the BOOKSY app is easy and has been very reliable. Proper Cuts will be my Barber Shop for the foreseeable future!
