I started going to Sister Act about 3 yrs ago. It is the best salon that I have been to since the one I went to from being a child until the lady stopped cutting hair. Her name is Ruth Jones. I'm from Cordova Al. and my mom took me to Ruth for the first hair cut. I went to her for my hair cuts growing up.
Now I go to Sister Act and I'm so glad they did a great job. I will never go anywhere else. Plus, the price is half the price of anyone else that I know of. Five stars to you lady's. I highly recommend going there. ‍?

9/10/20 - Carrie cut my hair a couple years ago and she did a good job. (See previous 4-star review below.) Today was a different story. I called ahead and arrived wearing a mask (per the state mandate for covid). Neither Carrie nor Holly were wearing masks and they did not put on masks while I was there. I didn't make an issue of it even though I am immunocompromised. I requested a straight trim (no layers, etc.). That normally takes at least 30 minutes because my hair is very thick and wavy. Stylists usually thoroughly wet my hair, cut it in sections, blow-dry it straight and then cut it again. Today, Carrie was finished in about 5 minutes. She barely wet my hair and cut it in a single section--partly with trimmers. Because she did such a good job last time, I didn't check her work. I just put it back in a ponytail. She charged $10 for the cut & I paid her $20. When I got home later I discovered that my hair was very uneven all over. I then went to a salon in Jasper and paid $42 (including tip) for them to fix it--which they did. I will not return to Sister Act after this experience.

4/6/18 - Carrie cut my hair around 10:00am as a walk-in. There was no line or wait. She did a good job and she gave me the cut I asked for. The prices are great. It was $8 for an adult cut. The ladies (Carrie & Holly) are nice, too. The building and parking lot could use some improvement which is why I didn’t give them 5 stars. I highly recommend you give them a try.

Great place for the whole family to get their hair fixed and cut. It's best though to schedule a appointment but they do great work and great service ? that they have quite a w few customers.
