I've been extremely disappointed with this salon. They rarely return calls, and when they do, the earliest appointment is always a full 30 days out. The lack of organization is frustrating and makes scheduling even the simplest service a hassle. I wouldn't recommend this place if you're looking for timely, reliable hair care.

I have Locs for more than 10 yrs and had been living full-time in Sarasota florida for the last 6-7 years. Sadly it's very hard to find black hair salons that do natural hair or Locs. I came across this salon in IG called on Thursday 9/12 spoke with a Young lady, the daughter of the store/salon owner, informed her I needed a retwist. She told me she normally does a consult before service. I told her I was driving 30 miles and didn't just want to just come for consult only. She said she would be able to do the consult and perform the retwist if I chose to have it done. If I declined service they would charge for the consult. She just wanted me to know. OK. Fine. She said she couldn't give me an appointment that weekend because she had hurt her hand but she could do it on the Monday so I made an appointment for 9/16 at 10 AM. The Monday I was on the highway and made a wrong turn which would have made me about 10-15 minutes late so I called to tell her I was running late. She then informed me she couldn't do my hair because she wound up having to get a cast on her hand. While I was sorry for her injury I asked her why she hadn't called me Friday, Saturday or Sunday to cancel. If I hadn't called her I would have driven 30+ miles only to find out I couldn't get my hair done. I was pissed. I don't know if they're any good at doing hair, but what I do know is that they are very unprofessional. Can't recommend them.

I had to reply to the below response from the salon. The conversation never went as she said. Why would I drive 30 miles for a consult. Unprofessional and untruthful. Don't trust a salon who won't be accountable. I'll keep doing my healthy waist length locs if this is the caliber of salons out there.

Excellent salon and beauty supply store. Cami and her mom Grace are so down to Earth and knowledgeable about all hair types. Cami really works to ensure your hair is healthy and well taken care of regardless of your hairstyle choice. This is also the only place locally that knows how to take care of natural her too. I love this place and if you haven't visited you should.

Big fan of Kamesha and her business. If come to her ever since I was little and I’ve loved the way she’s taken care of me and my sister when it comes to our hair.
These are the pre-stretched 52” bundles. Used almost all six to finish up (3 packs) costing about $7 per pack. Great deal, love Sugar and Spice!
