Love this place! The first time I walked up one of the barbers was sitting outside and he could tell that I was a newbie. He kindly greeted me and showed me how to get in line, it was a nice warm welcoming. Comfortable seating area inside the shop as you wait for an opening. When my name was called I got seated with Dermot… This guy is top notch! Highly skilled, very organized, and impressive attention to detail. I’ve seen him every few weeks since. Super happy with my first experience at this shop and every visit thereafter. I highly recommend giving them a try.

Best barber shop in SLO! Jeremy is my go-to guy when I need a cut. If you want a quality haircut at a fair price in a shop with great vibes, there’s only one place and it’s The Barber SLO.

Had some free time and was able to walk around downtown SLO. The Barber SLO seemed familiar and I've realized there was a van parked near the freeway exit advertising it so I went to check it out. Must say I was very impressed. Mark took care of me and was really personable, felt like a great neighborhood barber shop. Looking forward to coming back when I'm in town

Needed a cut while I was visiting some family and had the pleasure of sitting with Dermot. Let me tell you, this dude takes so much pride in what he does! Be sure to sit with Dermot when visiting The Barber SLO. I’ll be sure to need a cut next time I’m visiting just to sit in his chair again!

Normally a five star experience. Owner of the place and the older dudes are some of the best.

Got a slapdash job today from a younger guy named Jeremy. Whole time I was getting the cut it felt like he kept hitting me in the head with his comb. Also he used a straight razer without any shaving cream, and did the top of my hair before using the electric. Never had that done before. My left side is shorter than my right and I've got a cowlick that was left there because he didn't know what to do with it. I've got cuts around my ears in my skin, and I look stupid as hell cuz of this guy. And to top it off his fellow barber makes a joke about my wife being mentally handicapped, without knowing me. I can take barber talk from friends, or people who have a sense of humor, but stupid humor isn't fit for anywhere.

Sadly going to go to another barber from now on. The hunt continues for consistent quality, with guys who have brains.

Was in town for one day on my anniversary and they gave me the best cut of my life. Not to mention I was a groomsman for a wedding the next week and it still looked awesome. Next time I’m back in town I’ll be sure to stop by. Barber also helped my gf and I find the best spots in town for the vibe we were looking for date night.
