Alec has been cutting my hair for years, and there’s a reason I’ve stuck with him. Originally, I was going to the owner of his previous shop—until that owner personally recommended that I trust Alec with my cut while he was away. Out of 10 barbers in that shop, Alec was the guy. That kind of trust speaks volumes.

Alec is a true professional—a gentleman, easy to talk to, and, most importantly, he actually listens to what you want. And trust me, I’m not the easiest client. I constantly change up my haircut ideas, and I’ve even frustrated other barbers (who were my friends) because of it. But Alec? He’s patient, skilled, and always delivers exactly what I’m envisioning—even when I change my mind.

When he stepped out to open The Clip Barbershop at 400 Washington St, Roseville, it was a bold move. As a business owner myself, I know the dedication and faith it takes to build something from the ground up, and I have major respect for that. He’s doing it for his family, and that’s the kind of local business I’ll always support.

Now, let’s talk about the actual cut. My fades? Cleanest I’ve ever had. My head has a shape that can be tricky—go too high, and my temples bubble out. Alec gets it right every time.

A quick note about service: I’ve been in barbershops where a 9:30 AM appointment meant waiting until 10 AM, and sometimes I wouldn’t get out until 11:30 because of all the conversations happening. While I love a good barbershop vibe, I also respect when a barber values my time. Alec runs a tight schedule, so you get both the experience and the efficiency.

Ignore the trolls leaving bad reviews—some people are just unsatisfied with life. If anything isn’t right, Alec is the kind of guy who will make it right. He’s building a dream, supporting his family, and delivering top-notch cuts. Go see him—you won’t be disappointed.

You guys, if you want your hair to look so fresh, so clean, Alec is your guy! My sons have been getting their hair cuts by him a little over 3 years now & we are always very satisfied with his work. He’s highly experienced & gets the job done in a timely manner. Overall a chill & inviting atmosphere at the barbershop. Kid friendly! 10/10 recommend!

Best place to get your clean cuts! Love the atmosphere, the vibes all positive, very clean and organized place and I love how they offer bottled water. Very nice staff that greets you at the door and listens to your concerns about how the cut needs to be made. Would definitely return again! My husband is a ongoing returning customer while my son hasn't been going to a barber for some time so this was a real treat!!

I don't even know where to begin. Greeted immediately as I walked through the door and made to feel welcome without even having an appointment. Comfortable waiting area and great clean environment and warm atmosphere. Alec was my barber and owner. I am under exaggerating when I say this is the best haircut I think I've ever had in my 40 year life. The time and attention to detail are second to none. This place has only been open since November but I see an amazing future for it. Straight up if you're looking for friendly service with one of the best cuts I've ever gotten. My 8 year old son has been getting his cuts from Alec for a few years now. Alec consistently does such an amazing job! He takes his time with my son which shows he takes pride in his work and I so very much appreciate that. I’ve been getting my hair cut by Alec for the last 9 years, and I can say without a doubt he’s one of the best barbers around. He even gave my son his first hair cut 6 years ago and he still cuts my son til today. His new shop, The Clip, is everything you’d want in a barbershop – stylish interior, great vibes, and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like a regular from day one. The laughs are plenty, and the talent is top-notch. I drive all the way from Elk Grove to Roseville just to get a cut here because it’s absolutely worth it.

Plus, the prices are super reasonable compared to other spots in the area. If you want a sharp cut from someone who knows what they’re doing, head to The Clip.
