Both the organic Italian hair coloring products and finishing mouse made my hair silky soft and feel nourished. Kelly Rae is an expert at balayage and I’m so glad I found her. Her salon feels comfortable, is decorated with her colorful paintings and the air is filtered/clean.
On my previous visit in July she cut/styled my hair so expertly so that when it grew out three months later it still looked great.
I highly recommend Kelly Rae.

Unfortunately, I did not get a good haircut with Kelly Rae. Today I got a new haircut with someone who used to cut my hair, exactly 4 weeks from the day I went to Kelly, to get my hair repaired/redone. While she gave me a nice shampoo and conditioning, I told her that I am sensitive to smells, and she assured me that all the products she uses are organic. Being organic does not mean they are not going to have a strong or disagreeable fragrance! I have medium curly, corkscrew curls and she cut my hair like it was straight hair and while very wet and in about 7 minutes or less. She put a lot of leave-in product in, scrunched my hair, which looked ok, but found areas that had not at all been cut and she shaped my hair very poorly. It was evident at the stylist I went to today, that it was cut quickly and not well or thoroughly. Not ever returning and not worth $100.

I was driving through Sebastopol and saw in neon lights “ Organic hair coloring”, I had to make an appointment with Kelly. I asked for a highlights and wow did Kelly deliver! The color tones are beautiful cool tones and very even throughout. My next appointment will be a cut and style. The best part is I am completely confident I finally found a stylist that can deliver excellence. Thank you so much Kelly.

Kelly Rae saved my hair! I recently moved to West Sonoma County and finding a new hair person was daunting. Upon first moving, I went to 2 different local salons for a cut and highlights and they over processed my hair pretty badly. After two failed attempts to fix, i was nervous to try someone new yet again. I did my research and felt aligned with Kellys approach and appreciated all the reviews. Long story short, she gave me a great cut, fixed the color and so look forward to returning in a few weeks for a Keratin treatment. I’m so glad I found Kelly, I can’t recommend her enough!!

Kelly Rae is an amazing stylist. I moved to the area recently and was very concerned about finding a new stylist to cut and color my hair. Kelly Rae chose an amazing color which enriched my red copper tones and gave me a hair cut with a great deal more edge to it. I could not be happier with her choices and her demeanor. Hot Damn, Kelly knows hair! Not only does she give me a fantastic cut every time, my color looks great and it lasts longer than any other color I've ever had. She has earned a true fan and I'm SO GLAD I found her. It seems like you can find someone who is good at color or good at cuts, but Kelly is special because she is good at BOTH. I recommend her highly!!

I think Kelly might have given me the best haircut I have ever had (and I am 60!). I love the layers! The style is natural, and works with my wavy/straight hair. Flattering, soft, and she listened to what I wanted so that I can continue to pull hair back while working out, but also gave me some style. I 100% recommend Kelly Rae. I will most definitely return!
