Extremely professional. Appointments always start on time. They never make a fuss about correcting a mistake. I’ve been coming here routinely (once a month) for about a year now. Kind of a bummer to see some of the other reviews of people who have only visited once. All that to say, if you care about timely appointments with kind staff + higher end products — especially ones that are non-toxic, vegan + cruelty free, I would recommend at least checking out this salon.

I went to Tinct based on a recommendation from a friend. Decided to give them a shot since they are close to my house and she had a good experience. Overall my experience was good but a bit underwhelming. The nail techs are sweet and really great to work with and the place is clean so those are two pluses. However, I did feel rushed and my manicure started to get bubble/lifting within the first day. I didn't go back since I was leaving for a trip...needless to say they didn't last one week which is a bummer. Wanted to love this place, but most likely won't go back.

I came for a pedicure for 29$. I was disappointed when I walked in at the smell (smelled like a dog grooming place or almost like dog poop/or a dog being groomed) and also the fact that they didn’t have normal spa massage chairs with the foot bowls. They only have regular sitting chairs and a basket filled with water.

I was already here and tbh they were really friendly and nice so I stayed.

The pedicure was great, however the main reason I get a pedicure is for ingrown toenail removal and they weren’t able to do that. One lady tried but it was ineffective.

If they had regular pedicure chairs and someone who knew what they were doing when kit comes to ingrown toenail removal I would keep coming back, but due to those two things I won’t be.

THIS IS ONLY FOR WAXING — I was burned in 4 places on my face. These photos are over 24 hrs after I was waxed. She was super friendly, but must not know how to gauge temperature for wax. I knew it was hot but thought she knew what she was doing. Over $60 for burns. Bummed this was right before a trip. Going back to threading.

They did a very good job on the technical aspects of a pedicure. I felt rushed because the manager was rushing around in a huff. This is supposed to be a spa/ relaxing experience and I wish the people managing the spa were more personable and relaxed. Also would be nice to have a massage chair when getting pedicures or AT LEAST offer a quick neck massage.

Edit 12/18/23: sadly my second time was kind of a bummer as they used a drill to remove my gel off my toes. Just a drill, didn’t soak them off at all. Which was surprising since they charge extra for removal!

Best pedicure I’ve had in LA! The whole energy and vibe of the salon is very calm and relaxing. Jazz is playing softly and the space is chic and clean. The man at the front desk was kind, polite, and did not rush me to pick my polish color. I splurged and went for the jelly pedicure with gel polish. Though it is a little pricey it was worth it. It felt amazing! It came with so many steps from this awesome lime green jelly foot bath, many moisturizing lotions, scrub, massage, hot stones, callus treatment, etc. My pedicure looks perfect. Fantastic attention to detail. My skin is soft and so moisturized. 10/10! Will definitely be back.

PS- there are some old photos and reviews that say there are not faucets at the pedicure stations. That is not the case today. They have running water at each station and used a plastic liner as well for hygiene.

The best mani, worth every penny! I love their appointment system… they have it timed so when you are there they take their time with you. I have been to places where they overbooked and they don’t give you your full service time or they don’t start at ur appointment time.
