I recently visited Zen Spa in Bakersfield and had an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted by a friendly hostess who made me feel welcome and comfortable. The spa is located in a nice area and has a calming atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease.

I booked a massage with one of their skillful masseurs and was blown away by the level of expertise and care that went into the treatment. The masseur was attentive to my needs and made sure to focus on the areas that needed the most attention. The massage itself was incredibly relaxing and left me feeling rejuvenated and refreshed.

What really stood out to me, though, was the staff's attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure my experience was nothing short of perfect. The hostess provided me with a tour of the spa and explained all the different services they offered, making sure I knew all my options before I made my decision. Additionally, the masseur provided me with tips on how to take care of my body and maintain the benefits of the massage.

Overall, I highly recommend Zen Spa to anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The friendly staff, nice location, helpful hostess, and skillful masseur all contribute to an exceptional spa experience that I will definitely be returning to.

They don't ask questions like, you who do you prefer to give you a massage, male or female? Or How do you want your massage mild, medium, or strong. They just assume that you're going to like the massage the way they do it. So, Don't forget to tell them how do you like it. In my opinion the massage was too strong for me.

I called and scheduled a massage for my Wife and Daughter (18 years old). When I called I asked for two female masseuses and the guy I was speaking said yes. As my Wife and Daughter were getting undressed for their massage they began to hear one man and a couple female masseuses start yelling at each other. They were very loud and angry. This kept going on so my wife put her clothes back on and walked out and confronted them to ask them to stop yelling. They apologized and stopped. Then about 30 seconds into my daughter massage a man walked in and they started arguing again. My daughter asked them to stop and said she would leave if they didn’t. Again, they apologized and stopped. A few minutes later the lady masseuse in my daughter’s room and the lady masseuse in my wife’s room started yelling at each other through the walls. This was the absolute worst experience my Wife and daughter have ever had. Will not be going back.

Will never return. When checking out she asked how much tip I’d like to leave, I stated the amount and she said “no, how about “x” which was $10 more than what I’d said. I said no, this amount. She again said no, “x” amount. I again said no and she then pointed to a sign that was hand written stating at least “x” amount is required as a standard tip. This was incredibly frustrating and wrong seeing as how a tip is not required. After I said no again she turned the machine for me to enter the amount and then proceeded to give me a dirty look and no longer speak to me. This was on top of the massage therapist continually leaving the room to grab this or that and didn’t add extra time to make up for these absences. Used her elbow and for arm bone for 90% of the massage causing a lot of pain and even after repeatedly telling her not so much pressure she would continue. Very unhappy and will definitely never return and let others know not to go there either.

Not a pleasant experience. I didn’t have an appointment but I called about an hour before going in to ask if it was okay I went without an appointment they told me that was okay. I went and they gave me a room. I’m laying down and one of the male massage therapists walk into the room. I asked if there was a female he said no and in about 20 minutes there will be. I proceeded with the massage because I had an awful pain in my neck, needed a massage last minute and was in a rush. The massage was alright as I went to pay the same male massage therapist he asked for a tip and I said no tip today he looked at me like I was insane and he asked again for a tip. I said no tip. He told me with hand motions appointment then I could of had a women. I explained to him if he would have told me there wasn’t going to be a woman I would have waited or not have went to their spa. He asked me a total of 3 times and was not happy I didn’t want to tip. Not a great experience at all as there was no communication during the massage and it wasn’t the best. I was not mentally prepared for a man to enter the room and found it absolutely inconsiderate. I wouldn’t go back or recommend to anyone.
